Overview

Provides administrative and technical support within the Office of Clinical Practice to accomplish an effective and technologically advanced program. In an effort to make the field experience (clinical) process as seamless as possible for students, closely collaborates with pertinent GSE staff and administrators on various matters relating to student teaching, student placement, and student requirements for field experience and practicum courses.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Performs administrative and clerical duties to support the GSE Office of Clinical Practice.
  • Assists with registration procedures for field experience and practicum courses.
  • Collaborates with internal constituents to include academic advisors, registrars, certification officer, graduation coordinator, and site teams.
  • Schedule departmental meetings and appointments by maintaining a Microsoft Outlook calendar.
  • Plan and coordinate logistics for events sponsored by the Office of Clinical Practice and Education/Special Education Program leadership.
  • Take notes and minutes for clinical practice and partnership meetings.
  • Responds to phone and face-to-face inquiries from registered students on a broad range of issues: registration, student personnel data, school placement verifications, and portfolio submissions.
  • Collects, analyzes, and produces data, using intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Access.
  • Establishes and maintains digital filing system for all program correspondence, field supervisor records, and program materials
  • Assists in the editing of current student guides used in the field experience and practicum courses.
  • Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of teacher candidates’ and field experience supervisors’ information.
  • Ensures that the Office of Clinical Practice’s procedures and communications conform to Touro and GSE policies and procedures.
  • Performs related responsibilities, as required.

Qualifications

Education/ Experience

  • At least an Associates degree; Bachelor Degree preferred
  • At least 3 years of progressively responsible administrative assistance experience relevant to this position’s job responsibilities

Maximum Salary

USD $54,000.00/Yr.

Minimum Salary

USD $43,200.00/Yr.
