In coordination with the Chairs, the Academic Scheduling Coordinator manages the development and creation of each semester's schedule of courses for all assigned programs. Compiles, monitors, and analyzes data to determine course scheduling needs. Implements and oversees the academic scheduling function (e.g. course caps and cancellations, advanced registration, block scheduling, course changes, new courses, schedule production, and use of CourseDog). This position interacts regularly with the Touro Registrar’s office and other units connected to enrollment and schedule tasks.


  • Create, maintain, and revise course schedules for all assigned programs based on cohort/student group size, curriculum sequence, and any other relevant factors.
  • Assist the Chairs in providing timely faculty assignments for courses each semester.
  • Assist Director of Graduate Advisement in managing tasks related to course registration (e.g., intake of add/drop forms)
  • Assist Director of Graduate Advisement in designing and disseminating information guides and other materials/web pages/Canvas sites for students to facilitate registration process in all courses and programs.
  • Assess the process for schedule development, and design/implement adjustments and new procedures to streamline scheduling. (This task involves communication and teamwork with Chairs, the Touro Registrar office, and any other relevant stakeholders)
  • Ensure data integrity; academic schedule is accurately represented in relevant university system. This includes ensuring that the GSE website provides accurate scheduling information to students, working in coordination with the Director of Recruitment and Communications as the liaison with the Touro website managers.
  • Coordinate the accurate input of new information into the University systems (e.g., CourseDog)
  • Use Tableau and other data sources to forecast course scheduling needs, in coordination with Chairs.
  • Strategic Plans: Assists the Director of Advisement to formulate and implement long range plans to improve academic scheduling functions, using information obtained through internal review and external research.


Education/ Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Three years of experience in an administrative position
  • Scheduling and curriculum implementation experience preferred.

  • Organized and demonstrated exceptional attention to accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with frequent high levels of urgency or sensitivity.
  • Detail oriented, able to learn new software tools (e.g.,Tableau, Banner, & CourseDog)
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with colleagues in a team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point, & Outlook

Maximum Salary

USD $61,343.00/Yr.

Minimum Salary

USD $49,074.00/Yr.
