Overview

The Clinical Coordinator performs in the daily supervision of the Program Director with Matrix Supervision from the Director of Education.

Responsibilities

  • Correlate clinical Practicum with didactic and lab instruction
  • Evaluate the progress of student performance in the clinical area.
  • Assist the Program Director in tandem with Director of Education in coordinating clinical education.
  • Act as liaison between program and clinical site.
  • Participate in the in – service training Program of the department
  • Supervise competency evaluations of the students performed at the clinical sites
  • Maintain student clinical records.
  • Act as resource to radiography students.
  • Participate in the scheduling of student clinical assignments.
  • Assist in continuous program assessment.
  • Assist staff in maintaining and improving skills relating to student supervision.
  • Conduct image evaluation with students at the site.
  • Instruct specific units of teaching as necessary.
  • Maintain current knowledge of program policies, procedures, and student progress.
  • Maintain current knowledge of the discipline and educational methodologies through continuous professional development.
  • Provide training and education to clinical preceptors.
  • Travel to affiliate clinical sites.
  • Maintain Dosimetry records.
  • Duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/ Experience

  • Bachelors degree required
  • Graduate of an educational program in Radiography
  • Holds American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification or equivalent.
  • Documents the equivalent of two years full-time experience in the professional discipline.
  • Previous teaching experience, a minimum of one year of experience as an instructor in a JRCERT accredited program preferred.
  • State certificate as a Radiologic Technologist.

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities

  • Proficient in curriculum development, supervision, instruction, evaluation, and counseling.



Maximum Salary

USD $72,800.00/Yr.

Minimum Salary

USD $58,240.00/Yr.
