Oversees customer service, payment, and collection activities of student accounts.
Responsibilities
Reviews credit and debit reports as necessary.
Review and clear pending accounts and contact students by phone when necessary; clear accounts for registration.
Make necessary adjustments to student accounts
Prepare and notify Financial Aid office regarding adjustments needed to student accounts.
Counsel students and parents on the various tuition payment options available
Follow-up to ensure timely payments.
Calculate refunds owed to students in accordance with the College's and U.S. Department of Education's regulations; submits voucher for refunds for timely payment.
Work closely with the Office of Financial Aid and is familiar with financial aid regulations
Mail out past due notices to students.
Answer phone and email messages.
Support Help Desk inquiries.
Qualifications
Education/ Experience
Bachelor of Arts in Accounting required.
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities
Demonstrated proficiency in communication (written and verbal) required
Familiarity in online learning platforms including Banner, Canvas, Blackboard, & Adobe Connect preferred
Strong attention to details required
Customer service and team orientated required
A high degree of interpersonal competency: professionalism, diplomacy, judgement and discretion required
Overall business acumen, ethical decision making, and relationship management skill required
Exceptional analytical, problem solving skills, collaboration, and matrix management skills required
