Overview

Hybrid Cloud Services Engineer will be accountable for the day-to-day IT operations and support for cloud services, such as native Azure and AWS based offerings. With minimal supervision and high collaboration this position will collaborate with technical teams to architect the technology to support and monitor the dependent services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide design input to ensure the hybrid/cloud environments meet business requirements with a balance of cost, availability, and risk.
  • Responsible for the assurance of availability and integrity of cloud-based systems and data.
  • Collaborating with the technical teams to develop, deploy and maintain solutions leveraging the best of the hybrid and cloud offerings.
  • Provide the leadership for the Microsoft Office 365 applications and supportive services and Amazon technologies.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues, escalate as appropriate and offer solutions.
  • Partners with Chief Information Security Officer to recommend, implement, and monitor security auditing solutions.
  • Escalates issues to management and other teams when appropriate; follows up on issues and the results of issue resolutions.
  • Develop, document, and understand relevant IT policies and procedures.
  • Maintains strong cloud vendor relationships to understand cloud provider services changes, roadmaps and future offerings.
  • Partners with the Director of Client Services to improve service delivery, continual service improvement and procedures for new/existing systems.
  • Provides training and technical guidance to team members and internal customers
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies.
  • Build a Research and development think tank to promote innovation through the University, such as, artificial intelligence, mixed reality, and data-driven processes.
  • Ability to understand the laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines governing all academic and clinical activities.
  • Performs other functions as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/ Experience

  • Bachelor’s in computer science, information systems, business administration or related field; or equivalent work experience
  • 3 or more years as a technology professional

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities

  • Microsoft Azure and Amazon Infrastructure
  • Cloud-based networking standards
  • Experience with RBAC, and PowerShell scripting
  • Experience working with "Team-Based Practices," like Agile, Kanban
  • Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects.
  • Ability to follow standard change management processes. Document and evaluate the impact of required changes to the various systems: plan, schedule, and communicate
  • Ability to understand and follow sometimes complex oral and written instructions.

  • Comfortable working in confined/compact server rooms or data center environments

Maximum Salary

USD $98,800.00/Yr.

Minimum Salary

USD $79,040.00/Yr.
