Overview

The Systems Analyst position is responsible for creating, refining and implementing business processes and systems requirements to address operational needs for the Student Administrative Services Division at Touro College and University System. This role will serve as an active member of the department by contributing to decisions relating to the day-to-day operations of the ERP, resolving user problems, interpreting database related policy and procedures, and providing data analysis and reporting to properly assist management with business-related decisions. This position will also have a pivotal role in the implementation and ongoing maintenance of a new ERP system. The incumbent must be fluent in project management tenets and be able to convert user requests into technical specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies, analyzes, and assists with the resolution of complex technical and procedural problems related to ERP system or systems integrated with it. This will include systems and procedures that cross functional and organizational lines.
  • Write technical requirements from a critical phase.
  • Establishes user documentation and communication procedures.
  • Designs, develops, test, and documents programs and scripts that automate routine tasks.
  • Serves as specialist for mapping business processes to system functions.
  • Provides support in the conversion to a new ERP system.
  • Assists as a team or project leader on various project initiatives.
  • Receives all user information, remains abreast of systems modifications and enhancements, and prepares and distributes user information.
  • Prepares problems definition and conducts systems analysis, design, and review.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications

Education/ Experience

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a computing or business-related field (Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Business Administration)

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities

  • Exceptional communication skills demonstrated by the ability to research, write, edit, and produce technical documentation, training materials, and reports.
  • Effective time and project management skills.
  • Ability to convert user requests into technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of database management systems with the ability to program in SQL.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office software applications, especially Microsoft Access, Excel, and Word.

Travel

  • Home base is NY campus, but must be willing to travel to other campuses as business needs arise

Maximum Salary

USD $46,330.00/Yr.

Minimum Salary

USD $37,064.00/Yr.
