Overview

The Admissions Specialist is responsible for providing administrative synchronization of the admissions and domestic recruitment process at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine (TOUROCOM) in Great Falls, Montana.

Responsibilities

Recruitment

  • Attend physical and virtual college career fairs to promote TOUROCOM.
  • Conduct informational workshops and one-on-one advisement sessions for interested students.
  • Build and maintain relationships with universities, educational institutions, and pre-health advisors.
  • Collaborate with mentorship programs, college pre-health advisors, and student interest groups to inform them about TOUROCOM.

Admissions

  • Work with the centralized application system to gather data on all applicants.
  • Ensure compliance with all accreditation standards, including COCA requirements.
  • Maintain data for the current applicant pool and generate data management reports.
  • Assist candidates with supplemental applications and provide guidance on the evaluation process.
  • Coordinate the Admissions Committee and subcommittees, including scheduling interviews and providing student profiles for review.
  • Respond to applicant inquiries about TOUROCOM's admissions policies.

Enrollment Processing

  • Assist with planning and executing open houses to welcome prospective applicants and retain deposited candidates/students.

Events Coordination

  • Assist with planning and executing various admissions events and activities.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or at least 2 years of administrative experience in higher education, preferably in admissions required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • High degree of professionalism, diplomacy, and judgment.
  • Knowledge of academic standards governing the admissions process.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneNote).

Travel

  • Domestic travel required (up to 50%).
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Physical Demands

  • Extensive computer use
