Overview

The LCW Ambassadors Coordinator will manage and promote the LCW Ambassadors Program, connecting LCW students with NCSY. Responsibilities include recruiting and supporting student Ambassadors, coordinating events and meetings, and serving as a liaison between LCW and NCSY. The Coordinator will organize training sessions, appreciation events, and attend key NCSY gatherings to enhance LCW’s visibility and impact. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, with a focus on student engagement and outreach.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in creating a flyer which will be shared with all LCW students, announcing the Ambassadors program which and help identify the students currently serving as advisors within NCSY, as well as others interested in doing so.
  • Manage and coordinate the LCW Ambassadors program throughout the year.
  • Host an initial meeting in the LCW dorm (after Yom Tov) with students who respond to the flier and any other interested parties to:
    • Distribute advisor applications and oversee the vetting process. (Students interested in becoming advisors will be vetted before their names are given to Judy Rieser who will share them with the NCSY Staff).
    • Introduce the Ambassadors program and explain its role in promoting LCW opportunities with NCSY’ers (including TCIO, Honors Program, and Medical Pathways).
    • Prepare a spreadsheet tracking involved students and their current NCSY Regions.
  • Arrange one group meeting with the prospective advisors and Shaylee Rosen to review key issues related to LCW that advisors can share with NCSYers
  • Assist in organizing a semesterly appreciation dinner for the student Ambassadors with Dean Marian Stoltz-Loike and honored guests, including NCSY representatives.
  • Attend 3-4 key NCSY events including the Central East NCSY Region’s Gap-Year Shabbaton, National Yarchei Kallah and National and Regional 4G Shabbatonim.

Qualifications

Education/ Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities

  • Ability to coordinate events, manage schedules, and oversee program logistics.
  • Ability to present information clearly, engage students, and liaise with stakeholders
  • Ability to build relationships with students and external partners
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

Maximum Salary

USD $10,000.00/Yr.

Minimum Salary
