Overview

Touro University invites applications for a part-time Front Desk Student Services Information & Support Specialist position for the front desk at our campus while handling other administrative tasks. Applicants must have a professional work ethic, positive personality, excellent communication skills, the ability to multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for delivering exceptional care to students, faculty, staff and visitors.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact by warmly welcoming and professionally assisting students, faculty, staff, and campus visitors, ensuring a positive and supportive experience
  • Manage a high volume of incoming telephone calls by answering, screening, and directing inquiries appropriately with clarity and professionalism
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all student services departments to effectively provide accurate information and referrals
  • Ensure the front desk and reception area remain clean, organized, and presentable at all times, creating a welcoming environment for all guests
  • Handle all incoming and outgoing fax communications efficiently and securely
  • Accurately take and relay telephone messages, ensuring timely delivery to appropriate staff or departments
  • Provide administrative and clerical support to Student Services departments, including document preparation, data entry, and records management
  • Draft correspondence, prepare forms, and support departmental communications as assigned
  • Utilize student services software and databases to access, input, and update student information with attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with all levels of staff and administration, adapting to shifting priorities as needed
  • Learn and apply new software tools and administrative technologies as systems and processes evolve
  • Perform additional related duties and projects as assigned to support the overall mission and operations of the Student Services Division
