1. Course Preparation & Materials
- Submit syllabus and lecture schedule at least 4 weeks before the semester begins.
- Ensure complete and timely posting of course materials on the Learning Management System (LMS), including:
- Syllabuso
- Lecture schedule and course calendar
- Lecture materials (e.g., PowerPoint slides)
- Handouts and readings (required and suggested)
- Lecture recordings
2. Content Development & Oversight
- Continuously review and update course content.
- Attend lectures when possible to ensure consistency and accuracy across sessions.
- Define and map course goals, objectives, and competencies.
- Ensure every lecture includes clear, measurable objectives.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance on all course content
3. Student Communication & Support
- Provide students with the following before the course begins:
- Course goals and objectives
- Evaluation methodso
- Required texts with approximate costs
- Maintain timely communication (respond to emails within 48 hours).
- Hold regular office hours and proactively support underperforming students in coordination with the Office of Academic Excellence.
4. Examinations & Assessments
- Ensure exam content is reviewed by two designated faculty before submission to ExamSoft.
- Development of assessment rubrics.
- Submit final exams at least two business days prior to administration.
- Review exam analytics (e.g., questions with <50% accuracy or biserial <0.20).
- Post preliminary exam results within 3 school days, pending all submissions.
- Review exams with students promptly, individually or in groups.
- Provide students with makeup exams when applicable.
5. Course Evaluation & Quality Assurance
- Ensure student evaluations are completed using the approved system.
- Participate in Curriculum Committee course reviews.
- Participate in the Student Advancement and Promotion Review Committee (SAPRC) as assigned.
- Communicate with the Office of Academic Affairs as needed.
6. Remediation & Re-Examinations
- Provide remediation for eligible students, per institutional policy:
- Offer re-exams within one week of course end.
- Provide online or on-site remediation options in subsequent terms.
- Assign a paper/project in lieu of a re-exam, if appropriate.
