Overview

The Credentialing and Affiliation Coordinator maintains, updates, and manages all appointments for all preceptor faculty; maintains, updates and manages all affiliation agreements for clinical rotations sites; maintains all documents, records, and databases pertaining to preceptors and pertaining to affiliation agreements; maintains communication with site coordinators to handle inquiries and requests and handles communications with all individual preceptors to handle any requests, inquiries, updates, or any other items.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates administration of faculty appointments for preceptors at all clinical rotation sites.
  • Coordinates administration pertaining to developing, tracking and updating affiliation agreements with clinical rotations sites.
  • Assists with general communications with site coordinators pertaining to preceptors, affiliation agreements and other relevant items.
  • Maintains all documents, binders, and files relating to preceptors and relating to affiliation agreements.
  • Maintains all databases and records pertaining to preceptors and pertaining to affiliation agreements.
  • Provides liaison with site coordinators at rotations sites
  • Communicate with Site Coordinators regarding all preceptors' status.
  • Fields all requests from individual preceptors.
  • Handles requests for assistance and potential questions; provides information and clarification.
  • Handles letters to preceptors and coordinates processing.
  • Assists with preparation of materials for preceptors.
  • Utilize rotation management platforms (e.g. New Innovations or similar) to add clinical sites and preceptors to the system for student evaluation purposes.
  • Assists with reports and maintains records
  • Performs special projects and assignments as requested by the Director or Dean.
  • Research all preceptors' credentials at official government or professional websites.
  • Communicate with Site Coordinators to update affiliation agreements.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Well organized
  • Able to prioritize tasks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Access, & Outlook
