Overview

This position is responsible for supporting the preservation and accessibility of archival collections through high-quality digitization. Working closely with the other staff members, the role ensures that archival materials are accurately transformed into reliable digital formats for long-term use. Leads training for the Project Zikaron team on the software used.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews work for consistency and quality
  • Helps resolve basic software or formatting issues
  • Ensures images are properly aligned, with consistent margins and clear, archive-ready JPG files
  • Trains team members in the use of on image editing and document management software

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or 1-2 years of digitization experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Knowledge of Hebrew and Yiddish. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, & Outlook.

    Working Conditions

    • Extensive use of computers.
    • Extensive time sitting and standing.
    • Able to lift up to 30 lbs.

    Maximum Salary

    USD $50.00/Hr.

    Minimum Salary

    USD $40.00/Hr.
