Overview

The Admissions Recruiter supports the enrollment efforts of The New York College Podiatric Medicine by providing admissions information to prospective students, creating communications materials and representing the College at recruitment events, graduate school fairs, undergraduate institutions, career fairs and other educational programs. This position reports to the Director of Enrollment Management and requires the ability to effectively advise potential students about the field of Podiatric Medicine.

Responsibilities

  • Receive inbound calls, and make outbound calls, with the goal of setting up a potential student with an appointment to view the school
  • Maintain consistent communication with prospective students throughout the admissions and application process
  • Conduct student interviews
  • Develop and enhance recruitment strategies in efforts to increase enrollment, with consideration for student demographics and geographic areas
  • Assist students with the completion of application materials
  • Ensuring application is completed and all required material has been received.

  • Participate in meetings, as necessary
  • Host in-house open houses for prospective students and families
  • Attend physical and virtual college career fairs, interact with students and promote our university brand
  • Screen candidate resumes, conduct interviews for prospective candidates
  • Report on recruiting metrics after recruitment events, including number of candidate meetings
  • Design and place print ads on college campuses
  • Familiarity with social media sourcing, ability to work with University PR groups to source potential candidates on social media groups
  • Liaise with team leaders to define best practices, focusing on qualified candidates
  • Build and maintain good relationships with universities and other educational institutions
  • Formulate, review and maintain articulation/linkage agreements with outside Colleges
  • Learn University Admissions system and admissions requirements
  • Create and maintain database and working relationships with pre-health advisers

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Recruitment/admissions experience is a plus (*can include student work experience).

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent communication skills (both written & verbal).
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Must have good computer skills and proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently is a must.
  • Experience in social media including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other social media sites
  • Knowledge of CRM systems, (i.e. Banner, Slate, preferred).

Travel

  • Ability to travel throughout the Tri-state area and occasional nationwide for purposes of meeting with prospective students at college and career fairs.
  • Valid Driver's License required.

Maximum Salary

USD $66,300.00/Yr.

Minimum Salary

USD $53,040.00/Yr.
