The Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine’s campus in Manhattan, N.Y. has an opening for a full-time Physician (DO or MD) Faculty in the Department of Basic Biomedical Sciences, specifically for Course Director and Teaching Faculty in Pathology.
Candidates must be committed to teaching, scholarship and service, in line with TouroCOM’s mission statement, in addition to possessing strong communication skills. He/She must have a minimum of 1-2 year experience with a concentration in the General and Systemic Pathology. Teaching experience at the medical school or graduate level is preferred. In addition, he/she must have at least 2 years experience in Surgical/Anatomic Pathology Skills/Practice (recent experience within the past 2 years). A New York physician’s license is also required.
Responsibilities include direct and video-based didactic teaching, course administration, teaching and assessment of students. Additional duties include contributions to institutional and/or departmental governance and service.
Faculty is expected to engage in scholarly research in areas of biomedical science, medical education, and/or community-oriented research.
