Overview

We are looking for a hands-on IT manager to ensure the smooth running of the University’s Information Technology systems and services. The ideal candidate will have advanced technical knowledge and keen interest in adapting and implementing industry’s best practice processes.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Touro University IT infrastructure and applications
  • Partner with Technical team leads: Service Delivery Network Databases Infrastructure to assist with resource planning and service delivery.
  • Adhere to and contribute to policies and procedures enhancement and reviews for Event Incident Problem Change and Configuration Management
  • Manages and coordinates IT-related matters from the on premise to cloud-based infrastructure including procurement contracts and service renewals.
  • Investigates and solves problems related to the full stack of the University’s physical and virtual environments from data center to end user delivery
  • Monitors system performance & implements procedures for network optimization, reliability, and availability
  • Identify problematic areas and implement solutions in time
  • Provide input on direction and goal setting on strategy and operations
  • Provide tactical and strategic recommendations based on ITSM key performance measure
  • Support the weekly Change Advisory Board (CAB) as needed
  • Coordinate operational tasks, associated vendor service delivery, and service level agreements
  • All other tasks as requested by supervisor

Qualifications

Education/ Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and relevant 5-years IT management experience OR Certified Microsoft Systems Administration/System Engineer/Cloud (AWS/AZURE) with management experience OR Project Management Professional (PMP) certification with 3 years of technical IT experience.
  • Previous experience as an IT manager for 2 year(s) plus

Travel

  • Hybrid with partial commute to NY-HQ

Maximum Salary

USD $97,797.60/Yr.

Minimum Salary

USD $78,238.08/Yr.
