Overview

The Administrative Assistant works closely with the Program Director and Admissions Department to help orchestrate the academic phase and admissions process of the Manhattan Physician Assistant Program.

Responsibilities

Provide administrative support to the Program but not limited to the following:

  • Scheduling
    • Coordinates with the Admissions Department and Program Director in scheduling interviews for prospective students to the Program
    • Assist students with registering for courses and dropping/changing courses
  • Records Maintenance
    • Student files- Prospective incoming and current students
    • Test files: Examsoft
  • Statistical compilation/reporting Health Forms
    • Collect health forms for incoming students
    • Insures review by Medical Director
  • Filing:
    • Maintain prospective and current student files in the office as well as files on BOX
    • Maintains health form files
  • Answer telephones/email
  • Respond to inquires regarding admissions
  • Prepares and sends out Financial aid and Health Immunization packets
  • Prepares and sends out Orientation packets
  • Proctoring exams as necessary
  • Performs special projects and assignments as requested

Qualifications

Education/ Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Associates Degree required.

Skills

  • General Administrative Duties.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook.
  • Familiarity in online learning platforms including Banner, Canvas, Blackboard, and Adobe Connect.
  • Strong attention to details
  • Effectively manage and organize daily tasks independently and with a team, while balancing multiple projects and meeting deadlines
  • Accuracy and productivity in completing tasks.
  • A high degree of interpersonal competency: professionalism, diplomacy, judgement, and discretion.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop positive and cooperative relationships with students faculty and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in communication (written and verbal).


Travel

  • This position is on campus located at 218-232 West 40th St. New York NY
  • Must be willing to travel to the Central Islip campus as needed

Maximum Salary

USD $45,000.00/Yr.

Minimum Salary

USD $36,000.00/Yr.
