Work alongside course faculty to proctor in-person examinations in classrooms and/or auditoriums and proctor 1-1 or small groups of special students receiving disability-related accommodations.

The professor would be required to teach at least four undergraduate classes per semester, selected from but not limited to, courses in Physics and Natural Sciences. Other classes may be available for additional compensation. In addition, the position requires mentoring the students in doing independent study projects. Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Clinical Practice and supported by the Assistant Professor for Clinical Practice, the Professional Development Associate (PDA) is a part-time, university-based, clinical supervision coach who supports the overall function of clinical supervision and provides ongoing professional development for P-12 clinical faculty. The PDA works collaboratively with P-12 mentor and future educator to ensure high-quality educator preparation aligned with state and national bests practices. Additionally, the PDA is committed to actions aligned with the Touro values of integrity, inclusivity, equity, and respect.

An experienced medical educator to teach Anatomy and Neuroanatomy to first year medical students on the Middletown, NY campus.  TouroCOM faculty use an innovative “flipped” classroom approach to delivering the curriculum and students in the human anatomy lab learn through a combination of classical cadaver dissection, the study of plastinated models, and a custom designed holographic 3-D anatomy system.

The Clinical Instructor will teach in the undergraduate program in Manhattan, NY at a clinical site with 8-9 students with an emphasis on the care of a patient within the psychiatric/medical-surgical patient population. Clinical instructors are expected to be available for all clinical assignments once scheduled during the semester. Clinicals can be held in any of the five boroughs.

The Clinical Rotation Supervisor supervises groups of Touro College OT students on level II fieldwork in a specified area of practice and within the requirements of ACOTE and the OT Department. Supervision of Level I students is also optional.

The Touro College field supervisor will fulfill the role of clinical instructor. Field supervisors will conduct classroom observations, provide targeted actionable feedback, and assessing candidates’ performance in the classroom based on a subset of components of the Danielson Framework of Teaching. Field supervisors are required to attend meetings and participate in ongoing professional development workshops/webinars each semester.
